ABSTRACT: Addressing Industry Demand for Specialized Vocational Skills is critical for aligning vocational education with labor market needs. This study examined how vocational training programs can meet the specialized skill demands of various industries. The objectives were: to identify key industries with high demand for specialized vocational skills, to evaluate the current alignment of vocational curricula with industry needs, and to propose strategies for enhancing the responsiveness of vocational training programs to these demands. A survey design was chosen to gather detailed data from industry representatives, vocational educators, and students, enabling a thorough evaluation. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include those directly involved in or affected by vocational training. The case study focused on the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, Lagos State. Findings indicated that many vocational programs were not fully aligned with industry needs, leading to skill gaps in the workforce. It was recommended that vocational institutions should engage in regular consultations with industry stakeholders, continuously update curricula to reflect current and emerging skill demands, and provide targeted training programs to address specific industry needs.
